The Route
During the ride we plan to highlight the route using arrows attached to road signs and on the road, but riders will also have a map with a list of directions, plus a list of contact phone numbers in case they get lost (don’t worry it will happen but we will find you!)
There will be scheduled water stops every 10 miles or so, and a lunch stop where everyone can catch up on progress. All the support vehicles will be fully stocked up with water, energy drinks, snacks and very helpful support ‘staff’, and will also stop to point out directions in complicated locations.

TWO TIER ROUTE
This year we’re again planning a two-tier system, whereby riders can either:
- Option 1 - The Classic Route:
Approximately 80 miles per day.
Riders take the minibus to a starting point around 20 miles away from the hotel, and get collected at a finishing point, again about 20 miles from the next nights hotel. (It is also possible to get a lift in the morning but cycle all the way to the hotel at the end of the day.) - Option 2 - The Long Route:
Riders may choose to cycle all the way from hotel to hotel, a route option of up to 130 miles a day!
The decision of which option to take is up to the individual, and of course the condition and fitness of their legs and bum(!), although if we feel a rider is getting too far behind the main group the support team will offer a lift for some of the distance.
